Soil genesis, commonly termed pedogenesis, is the complex process by which soils are formed. This continuous transformation involves the combination of numerous factors, including weather, topography, parent material, biomass, and time. These variables act in a coordinated manner to mold the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil.
